MSK Scans works in association ScanAssure Medical Ultrasound Limited ScanAssure is an independent company providing NHS community ultrasound services for Clinical Commissioning Groups (CCGs) and General Practitioners (GPs).
Established in 2007, ScanAssure is an experienced healthcare provider. In 2008, ScanAssure began working in partnership with the NHS, delivering high quality community based services for patients.
Over the past 11 years, the organisations knowledge and experience has continued to grow.
They have been selected by The Greater Manchester CCG’s. Their work is mainly in Heywood, Middleton & Rochdale, Bolton, and the new Manchester Health Care Commissioning Group whereby they support their ultrasound diagnostic needs for the local community.
In January 2018 they opened their new flagship HealthAssure Screening Clinic at Media City on Salford Quays.
In addition to their NHS work they also supply a wide range of ultrasound diagnostics for the self-funding patient.

Ultrasound can help detect serious female health problems such ovarian and endometrial cancer.
Viability Scan
Reassure worried parents by detecting baby’s heartbeat as early as 6 weeks. We can assess gender from 16 weeks. This scan can be booked up to 22 weeks.
Dating Scan
From around 8 weeks from your last period, this scan allows us to date the pregnancy more accurately and tell you an estimated due date.
Detailed Fetal Anatomy Scan
This is a detailed check of baby’s body parts in order to assess development. This can be performed from 19 weeks and includes sexing.
Growth Scan
From 25 weeks we can perform measurements in order to calculate an estimated weight of your baby. The placenta site and blood flow to baby are also checked. Pictures are provided.
Presentation Scan
Performed after 35 weeks to check if baby is head down or breech etc. We will also check the placenta is not too low and calculate an estimated weight. Pictures are provided although they are not usually as clear as those taken on earlier scans.
In addition to diagnostic ultrasound scans they also deliver Health Screening for you and your family with their ‘HealthAssure‘ options. They offer well-man, well-woman and well-baby pregnancy services including blood tests and body ultrasound imaging.
There BabySure clinic in Bolton has recently undergone a complete refurbishment. Scanassure also offer ‘4D BabySure Bonding Scans’, now in its 10th year of service in reassuring parents about baby’s development and giving them the opportunity to meet baby in a relaxed and unhurried environment.
Additionally they have recently launched their ‘Fertility Support Service’ to help couples in their journey into parenthood.
